Balanced Literacy Stations

This is my station chart

 My stations are always changing and evolving.  I have my newest Writing station which is great for nonfiction text.  I generally choose a topic which connects to something we're learning in Science or Social Studies and they must write 3 facts about that topic and illustrate.  It really gets those schemas activated!

In the example below, the students wrote about the White House.
